2025 Climate Action & Adaptation Plan (CAAP)

UCR’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) builds on a strong foundation of ambitious climate policy and measurable action. During development, UCR engaged stakeholders through public events, interactive workshops, and campuswide surveys so the plan reflects diverse perspectives and community priorities. Investing in the CAAP is a strategic step to reduce UCR’s climate impact while delivering co-benefits such as improved public health, stronger equity outcomes, lower long-term costs, enhanced financial resilience, and reduced regulatory risk. By analyzing emissions and climate data and identifying priority actions, the CAAP provides a roadmap for implementation strategies, partnerships, funding opportunities, and informed decision-making. As a living document, the CAAP will be updated over time to reflect evolving physical conditions, policy landscapes, and financial realities, keeping UCR adaptive and forward-thinking.
