Juliann Emmons Allison’s current research examines the sustainability of Southern California’s warehousing industry, gender and transitions to renewable energy sources, the ethics and politics of access to rock-climbing venues, and ecological grief and resilience. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the California Energy Commission, the California Department of Transportation, the Energy Foundation and the Haynes Foundation. Recent work appears in The Oxford Handbook of Energy Politics, ed. by Kathleen J. Hancock and Juliann Emmons Allison, The Cost of Free Shipping, ed. by Jake Alimahomed-Wilson and Ellen Reese, Energy Research and Social Science, and the Journal of Labor and Society.
