Hey everyone! I’m a second-year Computer Science major at UC Riverside with a deep passion for both technology and sustainability. As the founder of Projects4UCR, I lead initiatives that use generative AI to solve real-world problems. I’m also actively involved with ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery at UCR, where I mentor students and hone my skills in web development and coding.

With hands-on experience in web development, I love merging tech with sustainability to create meaningful impact. Outside of school, I’m dedicated to equity initiatives and exploring innovative ways to build a sustainable future through tech!

Hi everyone! I am currently a fourth-year Business Administration Major with a concentration in accounting! This is my second year working under the Office of Sustainability for social media! I am super excited to do another year creating outreach in the sustainability field! I think its extremely important that we as a collective society pursue the importance of knowing what is sustainability is; and how to be sustainable! I am a California Climate Action Corps Fellow working with UC Riverside’s Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) to promote free public transportation options and help reduce UCR’s carbon footprint. I’m passionate about improving air quality and reducing pollution in our community by encouraging public transit and ride-sharing. I believe accessible transportation is essential for everyone to reach the necessary services and amenities they deserve. I’m excited to connect with the campus community, raise awareness of these valuable resources, and support UCR’s efforts to create a healthier, more sustainable environment for all.

Rebecca Leung is a recent graduate from UCR with a BS in Earth Sciences with a Minor in Global Climate Change. She is the 2024 CCAC Zero Waste fellow working to reduce waste at all departments on campus, with special attention put towards reducing food waste at Dining Services. In their free time they enjoy writing science fiction and fantasy stories. Her cat, Binx, is her biggest supporter but can also be her biggest critic, especially when she feeds him dinner late.

I’m a fourth-year transfer student from Rio Hondo College and earned an A.S. in Chemistry, pursuing a B.S. in Biochemistry with a focus on Chemistry. As a first-generation student raised in Guatemala, I’m passionate about supporting underrepresented communities. At UCR, I’m a CNAS Transfer Connections Peer Mentor, College Corps member, and conduct research with Dr. Ann Cheney on children with asthma in rural Latinx and Indigenous communities. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, traveling, and trying new foods.

Hello! I am a first-year Master of Public Policy graduate student at UC Riverside, and graduated from UCR in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. I am a research fellow with UC Disaster Resilience Network studying the health impacts of increasing heat on unsheltered homelessness in Riverside County. I'm the UC Riverside resilience, action, and planning fellow for the UC Office of the President Bonnie Reiss Leading on Climate fellowship. My project for the Bonnie Reiss fellowship consists of conducting survey research on the campus community, then bringing together local resources on climate resilience to educate the community based on the knowledge gaps identified by said survey.

Introducing UC Riverside's campus farmer. I graduated from UCR with my Bachelor's in Business Economics in 2023. I'm currently working through my second term as a California Climate Action Corps Fellow stationed at UCR's Community Garden known as the R'Garden. I believe food plays an important part in all of our lives. Understanding how our food is made and where it comes from is an integral part to living life sustainably. Whether it's learning how to grow you're own food, optimizing you're garden to be more sustainable, or just helping you pick some farm fresh produce, I am your guy. Outside of that, I'm a huge science fiction nerd. My go to series has been Star Trek for quite some time. Favorite Character has to be Miles O'Brien.

I have a BA in Environmental Science and Religious Studies from Willamette University, and advocate for interdisciplinary solutions to environmental challenges. My college years revealed the nexus of science, politics, and society in environmental dialogue. I aim to engage communities through holistic solutions and public education, narrowing the gap between researchers and citizens. My commitment extends beyond academia, having volunteered extensively at the Sacramento Zoo to promote wildlife conservation. Currently, as a California Climate Action Corps Fellow at UC Riverside, I frontline community engagement for the Inland Southern California Climate Collaborative (ISC3), striving for impactful change throughout the IE.
