Operations
The Operations section of the office includes greenhouse gas reduction efforts, Zero Waste, and the Green Labs Program. Students, staff, and faculty work on these initiatives in different capacities on campus to reduce emissions in accordance to the UC Policy on Sustainable Practices.
AASHE STARS Report
STARS, a program of AASHE (the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education), is a transparent, self-reporting framework colleges and universities use to measure sustainability performance. Institutions are evaluated across five broad categories: Academics, Engagement, Operations, Planning & Administration, and Innovation & Leadership. Participating provides a comprehensive view of sustainability at UC Riverside and highlights areas for continuous improvement.
