The Maternal and Planetary Health Symposium links research, policy, and activism to explore the unique ways climate change impacts pregnancy and the postpartum period. Deans Panel on Sustainability
Join us for the Deans Panel on Sustainability, a conversation that will explore our shared Pathway to a Sustainable Campus. This engaging discussion will highlight how leadership is advancing sustainability through strategic planning, cross-campus collaboration, and innovative solutions that shape a resilient and thriving campus. Panelists will also examine the critical role of Sustainability Education and Training in preparing students to lead in a rapidly changing world. This will include how interdisciplinary curriculum and experiential learning opportunities equip graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to drive meaningful impact across sectors. Finally, the panel will spotlight Research for a Sustainable Future, highlighting emerging scholarship, collaborative research initiatives, and partnerships that position our campus at the forefront of climate solutions, environmental justice, public health, and clean energy innovation. Sustain Us Burg
Celebrate Earth Month with plant-based eats, composting demos, volunteer opportunities, and live local music at Sustain Us Burg. This community event brings together food, sustainability education, and hands-on engagement in a fun evening atmosphere with campus partners and collaborators.

Earth Day at the R’Garden
Join us in the UCR R’Garden for an active day filled with fun outdoor activities. Light refreshments will be provided, and free parking is available in Lot 30. Earth Day Festival
Save the date for Earth Day Festival and join UC Riverside students, staff, faculty, and community members for a showcase of sustainability initiatives, products, and services. Explore projects, resources, and ideas for a sustainable future at Rivera Library Lawn.

Denim, Dignity, and Food Justice
Join the DIY denim workshop and customize a denim tote with patches, fabric markers, pins, and a distress station. The first 15 attendees will receive a tote, and participants are welcome to bring jeans or use provided materials to create their own piece. Snacks will be provided.

Threads of Resistance
Join us for an upcycling workshop featuring themed handmade stamps and a conversation with Dr. Jade Sasser exploring climate anxiety and its impact on fem-identifying communities. Food and refreshments will be provided while supplies last.
