Tracy Sato

Tracy Sato has over 20 years of urban planning and utility experience that encompasses sustainability, environmental programs and social equity. With Riverside Public Utilities, she has been leading the City’s efforts to develop transportation electrification and citywide sustainability initiatives, as well as providing leadership with the utility team implementing energy efficiency, water conservation, and low-income programs. Throughout her career, Tracy has led programs and participated in efforts in regional sustainability, cap and trade implementation, flood control and management, air quality improvement, and more. She is married and the proud mother of two wonderful daughters. Because of this, she strives every day to ensure that the world will be as great or better tomorrow as it is today. Tracy has a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Cal Poly Pomona – both with emphasis on environmental sustainability.
