Chancellor's Committee on Sustainability

The purpose of the Chancellor's Committee on Sustainability (CCS) is to facilitate the implementation of sustainability initiatives. Also, develop a framework and for accomplishing environmental goals at UCR. You can review the committee OverviewCharter (charge and bylaws), and the Six Month Plan for sustainable activities.

The CCS will:

  1. Implement the UCOP Green Building Design Policy, Clean Energy Standard, and Sustainable Transportation Practices
  2. Incorporate a principled environmental and social ethic for Sustainability into all campus activities
  3. Maintain and improve health, wholeness, balance, and diversity on campus
  4. Steer campus operations to reduce our burden on the environment
  5. Support development of integrated educational programs
  6. Establish and operate appropriate workgroups

The committee membership has a broad range of campus representatives and consists of faculty, students, and staff representatives.  Everybody is welcome to join!
